How IDEKI works
A private video call between two people who speak different languages. Each person sees subtitles in their own language, in real time. No app. No account. Just a key.
You receive an access key
The room owner buys a plan and receives a unique key — something like IDEKI-A3X2-B7KQ-R9WZ. They share it with you by WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or any message.
No account needed. No app to install. Just the key.
You enter the key and pick your language
Go to ideki.space on any phone, tablet, or computer. Paste the key. Then select "I speak" (your language) and "They speak" (the other person's language). Click Enter Room.
You can change the languages inside the room at any time.
Allow microphone and camera
The browser will ask for permission to use your microphone and camera. You must allow both for the call to work. This is a standard browser security step — IDEKI never stores audio or video.
On iPhone: tap Allow. On Android: tap Allow. On computer: click Allow in the top bar.
Speak — subtitles appear automatically
When you speak, your words are transcribed and translated in real time. The subtitles appear at the bottom of the screen in the other person's language. Each side sees the translation of what the other person says.
Speak at a natural pace. Avoid very fast speech — the AI needs a moment to process each sentence.
What happens during a call
The same happens in reverse — Person B speaks, Person A reads the translation. Both sides work simultaneously.

Common questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. You only need the access key. Paste it, pick your languages, enter the room.
Do I need to install an app?
No. IDEKI works entirely in the browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. On a phone, open ideki.space in your browser. You can optionally add it to your home screen as a shortcut.
Can two people use the same key?
Yes — each key is designed for exactly 2 people. The first two people who enter the room are connected. A third person cannot enter with the same key.
What if the subtitles stop appearing?
Click the CC button at the top of the room to toggle subtitles off and then on again. This restarts the microphone connection.
Is the call private?
Yes. Each key creates a private room. Only the two people with the key can enter. No one else can see or hear the call. Audio is not recorded or stored.
What if I lose the key?
Contact the person who gave you the key — they or the admin can share it again. Keys have an expiry date set by the room owner.
